SuperClaude v1.2.9 — Cache Countdown, Context Bars, Velocity Trends & Full-Text Search

superclaudechangelogupdateannouncementreleasecoming-soon

We just shipped SuperClaude V1.2.8 on March 21, 2026 — and we're already back with V1.2.9, available soon.

Here's what changed, what's landing now, and what we're building next.

Changelog — V1.2.9 (March 2X, 2026)

New Features

  • Cache Timer Countdown — SuperClaude now shows a live countdown indicating how long your current conversation remains cached. Continuing a cached conversation costs fewer tokens, so you'll always know the optimal window to keep going before the cache expires.
  • Context Window Progress Bar — A visual progress bar that tracks your current token usage against the 200k context window. No more guessing how close you are to hitting the ceiling mid-conversation. The bar fills in real time as your conversation grows.
  • Data Freshness Indicator — The usage card now displays a "Last updated X min ago" label so you know exactly how fresh your usage data is. No more wondering whether you're looking at stale numbers.
  • Usage Velocity Trend — SuperClaude now computes the rate at which you're consuming your usage allocation over time. A colored arrow on the dashboard tells you at a glance whether your pace is sustainable, accelerating, or about to hit the wall. Green means you're cruising. Red means slow down or switch plans.
  • Conversation Search — Full-text search across your conversation history. Find any past exchange by keyword, topic, or phrase — directly from the SuperClaude panel. No more scrolling through hundreds of chats to find that one prompt that worked perfectly three weeks ago.

Improvements

  • General stability and performance fixes across the SSE interception layer.
  • Minor UI adjustments on the usage dashboard for better readability.

A Note on These Features

V1.2.9 is where SuperClaude starts becoming more than a usage tracker. These additions represent a significant step toward making SuperClaude the control center for your Claude.ai workflow — giving you visibility into cache behavior, context limits, data accuracy, consumption trends, and conversation history all in one place.

That said, the feature set described above is subject to change before final deployment. We're actively testing and iterating on each of these, and some details may shift between now and when the update fully rolls out to all users. What you see above reflects our current development target, not a frozen spec.

We'll keep the changelog updated as things finalize.

What's Next

We're already heads-down on the next release. Expect deeper insights into how you use Claude, more actionable data on your dashboard, and tighter integration with the claude.ai interface. We'll have more to share soon.
